The consultant provided services on management of investment project for technical modernisation of heat sources in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), in order fuel consumption saving in boiler houses; operation costs reduction, decrease of heat losses in pipe lines, increase of heat supply reliability, increase of economic efficiency, improvement of ecological situation.
The Project covers development and rehabilitation of heat supply systems basing on comprehensive systems approach, including conversion of boiler plants to coal fuel and use of heat co-generation systems to generate electricity on the same principle as in mini-CHP assuring yield of cumulative synergetic economic effect.
Technical part of the Project incorporates a detailed review of facilities to be modernized, energy audits, research on fuel storage arrangements, shutdown or change in boiler plant capacity, expediency to use power generating systems, installation of district and individual heat points, extension of replacement or laying new heating mains design.
