For Swiss and European engineering firms

Could your next project be in Central Asia?

You've built your expertise at home. We help you understand where it could fit in internationally financed infrastructure projects, and what entering those markets would involve.

Start a conversation

A 30-minute introduction, at no cost and with no obligation.

Strong experience.
An unfamiliar route to market.

This is for established engineering firms considering work beyond their domestic market. You may have substantial project references and a capable team, but limited experience with international financial institutions (IFIs).

Institutions such as the World Bank and EBRD finance infrastructure delivered by public clients. The route to an assignment involves specific procurement procedures and qualification requirements. Finding a suitable project is only part of the preparation.

Forlog's Regional Desk focuses on Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. We help firms assess how to approach these markets from their current position.

Start with a conversation.

01

Introduce your firm

Leave your contact details in the form below. We'll send a short questionnaire and a link to book an introduction.

02

Give us some context

Tell us about your expertise and a few relevant projects. Brief answers help us prepare; there's no need to assemble a tender dossier.

03

Discuss the fit

In a 30-minute call, we'll explore your interests and questions. We can identify areas that would need a closer look before you pursue an opportunity.

Regional Desk / Central Asia

A regional business development function for your firm.

If you decide to pursue the market, the Regional Desk provides ongoing support. It gives your team a regional point of contact while you retain responsibility for your engineering work.

Opportunity screening
Market monitoring and an assessment of which opportunities warrant your attention.
Qualification planning
Reviewing your references against requirements and identifying gaps to address.
Consortium development
Finding complementary firms and helping establish a suitable bidding arrangement.
Support in the region
In-country representation and assistance with expressions of interest and prequalification.

The scope is agreed with your firm. Full technical proposal preparation is a separate discussion.

Before we speak

Do we need previous IFI experience?

You don't need it for an introductory conversation. Some tenders require specific experience, so we would look at those requirements before advising on a particular opportunity.

Does our domestic track record count?

It can be relevant. Eligibility depends on the tender, including the type and scale of assignments and the role your firm performed. Turnover alone doesn't establish qualification.

Are you offering a qualification certificate?

No. The introduction is an initial discussion, not formal certification or a guarantee of eligibility or contract awards.

Must we commit to the Regional Desk?

No. The questionnaire and introductory call carry no obligation to engage Forlog.
